Located in the Bay Area California Sarah Waite Chase creates paintings, and illustrations. She is a gardener for pollinators and loves to paint outside with the flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies, dogs and clouds. Her work is inspired by our relationship with natural world and the saturated colors in her dreams.

Statement
Growing up DIY was a way of life. My father was an artist and my mom is an avid gardener. During my childhood my parents built an art studio, green house, and grew lots of summer vegetables.

I grow plants and flowers for pollinators especially for hummingbirds and butterflies. I also create some of my art outside. I like to sit my garden and draw butterflies, flowers, and dogs. My art practice is a visual record of every day.
